Fresh Cornfed Chicken 1.2-1.3kg 鮮玉米餵飼雞


Fresh Class A whole cornfed chicken is rich in flavour and golden in colour. The golden skin and meat are more yellow as a result of the chickens having been fed corn or maize. The colour fades on cooking, but the meat is juicier and has a richer fuller flavour.

Storage: Keep refrigerated between 0°C-4°C.

  • Suitable for Home Freezing. To Defrost: Defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator and use within 24 hours. Once defrosted do not refreeze. 

Preparation and Usage: Wash before use. 

  • Oven cook: Preheat oven to 190ºC, Fan 170ºC, Gas Mark 5. Season the chicken and place the bird on a baking tray. For every kg, cook the chicken for 40 minutes then turn it over and cook for a further 20 minutes. 
  • To check that the chicken is fully cooked, insert a skewer in the thickest part of the thigh. If the juices run clear the chicken is cooked. If the juices run pink, return to the oven for a further 10 minutes and then check again.
